Most of the group had little experience of camping but managed to get all their tents up eventually and were pretty expert at cooking their pasta on trangias.

During the evening there was planty of space to roam around and explore, and of course the boys are always happy with a football to kick around. I’m not sure how much sleep happened, but being in the middle of a forest, noise wasn’t really an issue and the staff slept happily until awakened at 6.30am by Mr Hayton ‘making us a cup of tea’. It was another hour and a half before the students woke up!

Although some looked as though they hadn’t slept at all, they all managed to cook their bacon butties and get the tents down in a very professional manner. All agreed it was great fun and the next tutor beware – they are hoping for two nights next year!
