ASDAN offers a wide range of curriculum programmes and qualifications for all abilities, mainly in the 11-25 age group. Here at Hartismere we follow the ASDAN Award programmes which progress through Bronze, Silver, Gold and University levels and can also link into the ASDAN Further Education Award programmes. Pupils in year 10 and 11 can choose ASDAN as part of Key Stage 4 options.
Each Award contains 12 modules (topics or areas of interest) each of which is divided into 2 or 3 sections. To gain credits each pupil must focus on and complete a series of challenges.
The ASDAN award programmes progress through Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. Each programme is designed to develop assess and accredit Key Skills, and recognise your personal achievements, which can help to build your national record of achievement or Progress File.
Each Award is divided into 12 modules. For Bronze/Silver the modules are as follows:
Information Handling; The Community; Sport & Leisure; Home Management; The Environment; Number handling; Health & Survival; World of Work; Technology; Wider World; Expressive Arts; Beliefs and Values
