SUMMER TERM 2012.....
Well it's the summer term and things are set to get really busy in the Geography Department...............
With exams for year 10, 11, 12 and 13, revision sessions and fieldwork the Summer term is jam-packed for us!
JUST TO WISH EVERYONE LOTS AND LOTS OF LUCK IN ALL YOUR EXAMINATIONS, BUT PARTICULARLY ALL THOSE TAKING THE BIG 'G' GEOGRAPHY!!!
Don't forget that there will be optional 'Drop-in' sessions for year 10, 11, 12 and 13 on both a Tuesday evening with Mrs Owens and a Thursday lunchtime with Mrs Sargent. This will be a chance to use the interactive resources we have online, ask questions and get some help....you could also think of it as a chance to do some quiet revision once a week.
There will also be special revision and preparation days in coming up for the GCSE students.
Why not try some of the revision techniques on the 'How to Revise' item - Remember above all revision should be fun and done in small quantities but often!
You should all now be about to give in your forth set of homework/homestudy - so remember it should be the equivalent of 3 hours work..........
Fieldwork this term
Yr 8's will be going to Dunwich again to do a beach and settlement study either on Friday 1st June or Monday 11th June 2012.
Yr 10's will be going to do their data collection in Nowich this year on either on 26th June or 27th June2012.
And above all else, remember when your out and about to take your geography with you!
Happy Geographing!
Mrs Sargent and Mrs Owens
DON'T FORGET !!!
All homework for year 7, 8 and 9 can now be downloaded from the key stage 3 frontpage (which you can find using the page headers on the left of this page) so you don't have to go into the year 7, 8 or 9 geography pages!
Year 10 and 11 homework can be found under the 'New Key stage 4' heading by clicking on either unit 1 (year 10) or unit 4 (year 11)
Also try to check out the Handy hints page (also on the key stage 3 front page) for extra ideas on your homework whatever year group you are in!
