How we will level your assessments in year 7

These levels listed below will be used by your teachers to mark your assessed work in year 7 (maps and environments.)  It is important that you look through this before starting any assessed work so you know what we are looking for.

Level 1

Your work shows basic observations about the task linked to some information from the lesson.

Level 2

You can describe about the tasks linked to resources or information given out in class.

Level 3

You can start to offer a bit more detail linked to the task.

Level 4

You can start to use geographical words in your work, showing more detail and some efforts to explain what you have found.

Level 5

You have shown a good linkage between information e.g. phrases such as because, so, then, which meant and show how relationships are dependent on each other.  You have thought carefully about how to display your information.

Level 6

You have included lots of information and detail some of which you have found through research independently.  You have explained what you have found and displayed it all in a clear and thoughtful manner.

Level 7

You have done all of the above for level 6 plus tried to consider peoples opinions and thoughts in detail.
