Unit 3 is externally assessed in June of YR10.
This unit will be assessed through a 1-hour tiered examination. The examination has a total of 50 marks and will contain a number of tasks in three approximately equally-weighed questions.
In both Foundation and Higher examinations there will be an incline of difficulty. The paper will begin with shorter structured questions which test students' knowledge, understanding and skills about the geographical background and nature of the issue. This will be followed by more extended answer questions, involving aspects of the decision-making process.
