On October 1st 2010, we (year 13 ICT and Computing students and teacher) went to the EuroGamer Expo in London Earl's Court. The is the biggest games exhibition in the UK and a place where the industries biggest developers come to show case their newest games.
This was a great opportunity for the students to talk to developers about the skills and qualifications needed to get into the games industry as well as the types of jobs available and the expectations of the workers.
It was also a chance to test out the latest games for all the major platforms, some of which will not be released for 6 months.
It was a great day with some very enjoyable and funny moments and we hope to make this an annual trip for A Level Computing and ICT students.
