Physical Education

Sport in Hartismere provides all pupils and students with a wide experience of physical activities for all abilities and interests. The winter programme includes football, hockey, rugby, netball and cross-country running, followed in the summer by tennis, cricket, athletics, rounders and softball. In the Sports Hall pupils enjoy gymnastics, badminton, basketball, volleyball and table-tennis. There are all year round House competitions culminating in Sports Day in July.

The school has teams competing in local leagues in a wide variety of sports. Many pupils and students represent North Suffolk in athletics, cross-country, football, netball, cricket and rounders with a number going on to achieve success at County level and higher.

The school holds a" Sportsmark", awarded by the English Schools Sports Council, in recognition of the quality of the Physical Education programme.
