Then play the PowerPoint attached (Page18, please ask pupils to note down their and friends' Chinese zodiac sign) and ask pupils to note as many facts about Chinese or common phrases as they can.

Clip 1 ask pupils to note down as many as they can. 

Clip 2  Play Clip 2 to explain how to learn Chinese characters 

Clip 3 then please play the common Chinese character playlist, ask and pupils to follow the tutorial to practice and write down. You can ask pupils what they want to learn then choose what to play, and play serval times for some difficult characters. 

Then ask pupils if they know about their sign for Chinese zodiac and play Clip 4

Activity 5 if still have time left, please play either more of the Chinese characters writing playlist (Clip3) or ask students to make a poster about China, Chinese culture, Chinese characters and zodiac. 


Activity 6 if still have time, please play some videos from this BBC bitesize playlist.
