Inspired by the 800,00 poppies at the Tower of London Hartismere pupils and staff have made 100 ceramic poppies to mark the centenary of the end of WW1. On Tuesday 11th November there will be a short ceremony at 10.45 to lay the last of the 100 poppies around the school emblem, our Hartismere Stag. Afghanistan Veteran Duncan Slater will be laying the final poppy. Each individual poppy will be dedicated to a soldier from Eye and the local area who died in the first world war. We will also observe 2 minutes silence to remember all those who have died in the service of this country.
