Maths Summer School: Begin the new specification A level with confidence

I wish to run a four day summer school this year for students who are wishing to study the new A level maths. It is designed to introduce them to the three main areas of the new A level and to consolidate/refresh prior learning. Children who are currently at Hartismere are welcome to attend whether or not they intend to study at Hartismere in the sixth form.

The course is timed to run for four days, from Tuesday 1 - Friday 4 August inclusive, from 11am-4pm.  Each day will be at Hartismere School.  It will be intensive and satisfying, the teaching style representing the manner of A level teaching at Hartismere.

Below is the intended programme for the week:
Day 1  Recap on essential number, trigonometry and algebra skills
Day 2 Introduction to Mechanics (compulsory element of new specification)
Day 3 Consolidation and furthering of algebra and graph knowledge
Day 4 A day of statistics

The cost of the course is £50, with a maximum of 18 students attending.  In the event of the course being heavily oversubscribed two classes will run. If numbers are low, the course will still run if those who signed up still wish to attend.  Please be aware that teaching is done voluntarily and the fee is charged to cover costs.
