Black History Month 2023 
October is Black History Month and this year the theme is 'Celebrating our Sisters, Saluting our Sisters, and Honouring Matriarchs of Movements. The theme emphasises the vital role black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change, and building communities. This year’s commemoration will feature trailblazing black women who have made incredible contributions to literature, music, fashion, sport, business, politics, academia, social and health care, and more. 
 
Dyslexia Awareness Week 2023 #DAW23 (2-8 Oct)
Celebrating individuals with dyslexia from all backgrounds and walks of life.

National Poetry Day #nationalpoetryday (5 Oct)
National Poetry Day is a UK-wide celebration of poetry, taking place on 5th October 2023, and the theme this year is 'Refuge'.
