LAMDA Success 2026

Huge congratulations to the 128 pupils who took part in this summer’s LAMDA (London Academy of music and dramatic art) Acting and Public Speaking examinations. We are incredibly proud of the dedication, commitment and hard work you showed in preparing your performances and revising for the knowledge questions. Your enthusiasm and determination were outstanding.

Hartismere School first introduced the opportunity for pupils to take LAMDA examinations in 2016, with just 32 candidates taking part. Since then, the programme has grown year on year, and since 2023 we have regularly welcomed well over 100 students to participate annually. Over the last ten years, an incredible 868 candidates have completed Acting, Musical Theatre or Public Speaking examinations through Hartismere, all at no cost to parents. We are especially proud that our candidates consistently achieve an exceptional pass rate of over 98%, reflecting their commitment, resilience and the high standard of work they produce.

In summer 2027, we will celebrate a decade of providing LAMDA examinations at Hartismere (excluding the year affected by the COVID-19 pandemic). It would be fantastic to have 132 candidates take part, bringing our total number of LAMDA candidates to the remarkable milestone of 1,000.

Rehearsals will begin following the school production in March 2027.
