February - LGBT+ History Month (20th Anniversary) Medicine – #UnderTheScope
The 'Schools Out' 2024 theme celebrates LGBT+ peoples’ contribution to the field of Medicine and Healthcare both historically and today. This is an opportunity to showcase the amazing work of LGBT+ staff across the NHS and in other healthcare settings.
This 8 min video is well worth watching to find out about the background to LGBT+ History month following the repeal in 2003 of Section 28 of the Local Government Act 1988.
