National Citizenship Service (NCS)

NCS is where young people can grow their strengths and become world-ready and work-ready. Through a range of different experiences — online, in their community, and away from home — young people can build their confidence, resilience, and well being, gather work skills, and become engaged citizens who feel motivated to make a positive difference in society.

Summer 2023 Opportunities

Are you up for stepping outside your comfort zone, and spending five days with other young people learning new skills? Then here’s your chance.

The 2023 programmes, which start from June, have been specially designed to enhance your potential, transforming your Summer break into an opportunity to make an impact, learn new skills and prepare for work and life. Each experience is 5 days and 4 nights, and includes a variety of activities centred around one of three themes: LIVE IT, BOSS IT, or CHANGE IT.

The experiences could boost a CV, college or university applications, highlighting to employers and higher education providers the broader range of skills you've gained and your willingness to build a country of connected, confident and caring citizens where everyone is able to grow into the best version of themselves.

The cost of participation is subsidised by the Government and the price is £95; bursaries are available. There’s a limited number of places, so grab your place today if you’re down for the challenge!

The attached leaflets give further information and you can watch an 8 minute video giving full details of the programmes and how to sign up HERE
